As for myself, I have a number of years in the sports journalism field. Covering Marshall University athletics for WMUL and The Parthenon. I have also covered Logan County athletics for The Logan Banner, The Logan Standard and WVOW Sports, where I also broadcast high school athletics.

Athletics is my passion; I spent many years (2009-2017 and 2018-2021) coaching three sports at Man High School where I coached in four state championship games, winning two of them in baseball (2014) and boys’ basketball (2021) and was runner up in football (2009) and baseball (2015).

Before my time as a coach, I was a volunteer for Man High School athletics where I kept stats for football, basketball and baseball. I have also volunteered at the Little League level as a coach or public address announcer or statistician for West Virginia District 2 Little League tournaments.
